Alexander Zverev has booked his place in the quarterfinals of the French Open after a hard-fought five-set victory over Holger Rune.
The German, who is the fourth seed at Roland Garros, won 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in a match that lasted three hours and 17 minutes.
Zverev will now face Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinals, with a place in the semifinals at stake.
